The £25 million shocks Darren Bent, who says it’s “like a new signing.” Antonio Conte signed the Tottenham Hotspur star, although he never played for him

‘LIKE A NEW SIGNING’: DARREN BENT LEFT STUNNED BY £25M TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR PLAYER

Much has been made about how James Maddison has hit the ground running at Tottenham Hotspur, but one player who is not being talked about as much is Yves Bissouma.

Yves Bissouma has been a revelation under Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur.

Bissouma had injury issues last season, and when fit and available, the 27-year-old defensive midfielder did not always play under then head coach Antonio Conte.

The £25 million (Sky Sports) midfielder is now one of the first names on the Tottenham teamsheet.

Yes, James Maddison is weaving his magic in attack, but behind him, the England international playmaker has Bissouma to protect the defence and be a force in the middle of the park.

The Tottenham no. 8 has made six appearances in the Premier League so far this season.

Praise for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma

Former Tottenham striker and talkSPORT pundit Darren Bent has been impressed.

Bent said about Bissouma on talkSPORT (4:27pm, September 29, 2023): “Bissouma looks like a new signing.

“How he wasn’t playing last season, I don’t get, I don’t get it.”

Yves Bissouma a big player for Tottenham Hotspur

In my view, Yves Bissouma is a big player for Tottenham Hotspur and will play a massive role for the North London club this season.

Bissouma did extremely well when he was at Brighton and Hove Albion.

We all know how good the defensive midfielder is.

For one reason or the other, then Spurs boss Antonio Conte did fancy the Mali international.

Things are different under Ange Postecoglou at Spurs now.

Bissouma is flourishing at Tottenham.
