Newcastle United star Sandro Tonali spotted at unexpected venue following Crystal Palace win

Sandro Tonali was spotted in Durham after Newcastle United’s win against Crystal Palace.

It looks like Newcastle United enjoyed a well-deserved day off yesterday ahead of their next Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.

On Saturday, the Magpies beat Crystal Palace 4-0 in the Premier League and are now on a run of eight games undefeated.

But United’s run of form wasn’t the only thing on people’s minds. Sandro Tonali was introduced in the 69th minute against Palace, the footballers first appearance since allegations of illegal betting were made public. The details are not yet known, however it’s believed the Italian is facing a significant ban from football.

Yet the midfielder was met with an outpouring of love from his teammates and Newcastle United supporters on Saturday and was seen to be emotional as he led the lap of honour around St James’ Park.

Incredibly, yesterday Tonali was spotted at Adventure Valley in Durham enjoying his Sunday at the family adventure park.

With goat racing, go karting and tractor rides on offer, it looks like the footballer was using his day off to unwind and take it easy after a difficult few weeks.

Posting to Instagram, Adventure Valley shared a photo of Tonali with the caption; ‘We had a welcome visitor at Adventure Valley today! ⚽️ Thank you for being kind to all fellow visitors today, taking lots of photos as well as handing out autographs – here is Sandro with our Chef John

The sighting is unbelivable to some supporters, with one sharing the photo onto Twitter in disbelief with the comment: ‘Just amazing. I honestly don’t know what to make of Tonali, he seems like a proper heart of gold lad: sunday at adventure valley.’
