3 takeaways from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 20-6 win over the Tennessee Titans

After four long weeks, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have finally returned to the win column with a 20-6 victory over the Tennessee Titans. With the win, the Buccaneers improved to 4-5 and surpassed the Atlanta Falcons for second place in the NFC South.

Three takeaways from the Buccaneers’ 20-6 win over the Titans:

Rachaad White continues to dominate

Credit Rachaad White for transforming the Buccaneers’ offense. The running back has emerged as a dual threat, finding success in the rushing and passing games. In each of the past four outings, White has accounted for 90+ total yards of offense.

Against the Titans, the running back added a much-needed spark to the offense. White rushed for 51 yards on 20 attempts and recorded two receptions for 47 yards, one of which was a 43-yard touchdown run off of a screen pass.

The Buccaneers’ defense was under scrutiny after allowing 39 points in a Week 9 loss to the Houston Texans. Come Week 10, the Buccaneers got back on track and prevented the Titans from finding the end zone.

High-pressure defense was the name of the game against a rookie quarterback. The unit registered four sacks and 10 tackles for loss, holding the Titans’ offense to frequent three-and-outs.

The Buccaneers successfully put a stop to All-Pro running back Derrick Henry. The former Offensive Player of the Year rushed for an average of 2.2 yards on 11 carries for 24 yards. The Buccaneers forced quarterback Will Levis to make difficult passes by taking away the running game.

Mike Evans led the Buccaneers with 143 receiving yards and a touchdown, his highest totals since Week 2 against the Chicago Bears. Aside from an ugly dropped touchdown pass, Evans connected with quarterback Baker Mayfield throughout the outing in a way that had been missing in prior weeks.
