Tottenham can target vulnerable Liverpool after overcoming Antonio Conte problem

Tottenham have undergone a dramatic transformation since Ange Postecoglou’s appointment, and will hope their strong run can continue against Liverpool.

Tottenham have to change their own game plan if they are to hit Liverpool not so much where it hurts them, as when. Eight games into the season and Jurgen Klopp’s side are still yet to concede a single goal in the second period of any of their game

At the same time they have run in 15 at the other end in the second 45 minutes of play and if their six Premier League games were to be judged purely on second half displays, they would be top of the table with 16 points, two clear of defending champions Manchester City.

It is in the first halves that Liverpool have been vulnerable and Ange Postecoglou has to target the early stages of their evening kick-off on Saturday if Tottenham are to have their best chance of taking all three points.

That said, five times this season Liverpool have conceded the first goal and still come back to take the spoils. Spurs’ trouble is that they two are more of a second-half team.
