TOTTENHAM ALREADY EXPLORING DEAL TO SIGN £76M GOAL MACHINE
Tottenham Hotspur are back in the hunt for Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy as he outscores Harry Kane in the Bundesliga.
Stuttgart goal machine Serhou Guirassy is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the January transfer window.
That is according to a report from TEAMtalk, who claim that Tottenham are ‘making early explorations’ into a deal for Guirassy.
The 27-year-old had been something of a journeyman in recent years, turning out for the likes of Koln, Amiens and Rennes with varying success.
A 2022 loan move to Stuttgart has really got Guirassy going though as he racked up 14 goals in 28 games last season.
This season has been even better with Guirassy smashing a quite ridiculous 11 goals in just six appearances, becoming an absolute sensation.
Tottenham Hotspur want Serhou Guirassy
Unsurprisingly, speculation now surrounds Guirassy’s future with clubs no doubt interested in signing him.
It’s now suggested that Tottenham are already exploring a potential move to sign Guirassy during the January transfer window.
The report highlights that Fulham and West Ham United have been looking closely at Guirassy in recent times.
Both teams could seek to add another striker in January with Fulham certainly needing another option up top following Aleksandar Mitrovic’s exit.
Tottenham are a very appealing option though and Guirassy could be a bargain thanks to a reasonable release clause.
Guirassy can leave Stuttgart for around £20million (£17.3million) in 2024 and Spurs may look to activate that clause.
Spurs have looked at Guirassy in the past
Guirassy isn’t a new name on the Tottenham rumour mill
.
Spurs were first linked with a move for Guirassy way back in 2015, when he was coming up with Stade Lavallois.
The links returned in 2020 as the Daily Mail reported that Spurs had been watching Guirassy in action with Amiens.
Spurs didn’t pull the trigger back then as the COVID pandemic hit shortly after and sent Tottenham down a different path, signing Carlos Vinicius on loan instead.
Now ahead of Harry Kane in the Bundesliga goalscoring charts, there could be a certain irony in Spurs originally targeting Guirassy to support Kane, yet may now turn to him to help replace the England hero.
