NEWCASTLE AND ASTON VILLA WANT TO SIGN ‘INCREDIBLE’ ARSENAL PLAYER IN JANUARY

One of the Arsenal players who is struggling for playing time at the moment is Emile Smith Rowe, and he is being linked with Unai Emery’s Aston Villa and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United.

90min is reporting today that Aston Villa and Newcastle United want to sign Emile Smith Rowe from Premier League rivals Arsenal in the January transfer window.

The report has claimed that Villa tried to sign Smith Rowe in the past and remain keen on the England international attacking midfielder, who was described as “an incredible player” by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta in The Athletic in January 2023.

Newcastle and Brighton and Hove Albion are also reportedly “monitoring the situation”.

90min has claimed that the 23-year-old, who can also operate as a winger, would consider leaving Arsenal in the January transfer window if his current situation does not get better.

The English youngster has played just one minute in the Premier League and only 21 minutes in the UEFA Champions League for Arsenal so far this season.

Smith Rowe, though, did play 82 minutes for Arsenal in the League Cup this week.

According to 90min, Arsenal could let Smith Rowe leave on loan in January for the second half of the season.

Villa, now managed by former Arsenal boss Unai Emery, and Newcastle are keen on the midfielder.

Emile Smith Rowe should leave Arsenal (on loan)

I believe that Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe should consider leaving the North London club in the January transfer window, at least on a loan deal.

There is no point in the 23-year-old warming the bench week in and week out.

Yes, Smith Rowe is part of a very good and ambitious Arsenal squad, but he is too good to be on the bench.

If Villa and Newcastle want him, then I think that the attacking midfielder should seriously consider a move to Villa Park or to St. James’ Park.
