REPORT: Green Bay Packers Might Lose Rashan Gary For Chargers Game After Friday’s Incident
The Green Bay Packers could be without their top pass rusher, Rashan Gary, after an unfortunate injury at Friday’s practice. The Packers are set to play the Los Angeles Chargers in a must-win game in Week 11.
Gary was not on the Packers injury report coming into Week 11. However, Gary was listed as questionable to play on the Packers injury report released after Friday’s practice due to a shoulder injury. He was limited in Friday’s practice.
According to the Packers, head coach Matt LaFleur said the injury was not major:
“Gary was added to the injury report as a limited participant on Friday. Head Coach Matt LaFleur said there isn’t “long-term concern,” but the close turnaround warranted his questionable designation.
“Unfortunately, there was a little mishap at practice and we’ll see where he’s at on Sunday,” LaFleur said. “I would say it’s not major. Obviously with him being questionable, we’ll see (but it’s) not anything long term that we’re concerned about.”
Gary has the second-most sacks this season for the Packers, with 4.5 sacks. He trails Preston Smith by half a sack for the most sacks on the Packers’ defense this season. The Packers will want their pass rush to be full throttle against Chargers star quarterback Justin Herbert.
