BREAKING: Miami Dolphins Breakout Rookie Running Back Playing Status Revealed

Miami Dolphins running back, De’Von Achane, who wowed with star performances earlier in the season against Denver Broncos, New York Giants, and Buffalo Bills, has been out with a knee injury since Week 5, and having been on track to return soon, it looks like his return date has now been set, per Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz.

How Does This Impact The Miami Dolphins Offense?

The Miami Dolphins offence, lead by quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, has shown at times that it can be the most explosive, and certainly the fastest, in the entire National Football League. Achane, who ran an absurd 4.32 40 yard dash time at the NFL Scouting Combine, certainly contributes on both of the aforementioned accounts.

However, the team has struggled to really get things going against superior opposition’s defences, compiling an average of only 17 points – compared to an average of a whopping 31.7 average on the season – in their three losses to the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles – all of who comprise the pinnacle (maybe not the Bills all the time) of the NFL.

Having Achane back certainly allows the team far more flexibility in having now a true dual run threat, with Achane and veteran speedster Raheem Mostert splitting carries in the backfield. It was this combination that was most effective throughout the season, with the duo assisting in the record breaking 70-20 win against the Denver Broncos in September.

Let’s see if De’Von Achane is able to bring back some juice to this Miami Dolphins side coming off a bye (and prior to that a loss to Kansas City in Germany). This week they face the 5-5 Las Vegas Raiders at home, where they are a huge 13.5 point favourites.
