Enzo Maresca wants his Leicester players to adapt quickly to Championship life | beIN SPORTS

Five Leicester City players are set to miss match against Leeds United on Friday evening

Leeds United and Leicester City do battle on Friday evening in what could be seen as an early promotion six-pointer in the race for promotion from the Championship – and here is Leicester’s injury status in full.

A huge match already at this stage. Leicester are running riot, picking up 13 wins from 14 league games. If anyone has a chance of taking points off Enzo Maresca’s side right now, it is possibly in-form Leeds.

With 14 points sitting between Leeds and Leicester, Daniel Farke’s men need to stop the runaway train that is Maresca’s well-oiled Leicester machine. On Friday, Farke and Leeds have a chance of doing that.

Leeds have a number of injury concerns. Stuart Dallas, Junior Firpo and Djed Spence remain injured, while Joe Rodon could be added to that list after coming off early in the 4-0 win against Huddersfield.

For Leicester, Maresca has to tend with five players missing. Summer signing Tom Cannon, bought for £7.5m from Everton, is still out of action. Experienced midfielders Wilfried Ndidi and Dennis Praet, too.

Youngster Will Alves is joined by Callum Doyle in missing Friday’s clash, with the former expected to push for a return during the November break. However, Maresca has been boosted by two players.

Kasey Palmer made his return on Saturday in the win over QPR and seems to have come through okay. Turkey international Yunus Akgun is also set for a return, as per a report from Leicestershire Live.
