Substitutes helped Wrexham come from behind to beat Salford
PHIL PARKINSON has been given a selection dilemma and he couldn’t be happier!
Wrexham came from two-nil down to beat Salford City 3-2 at The STóK Cae Ras on Saturday to extend the unbeaten run to five games in all competitions, with the fifth placed Reds only three points behind League Two leaders Stockport County.
Substitutes made an impact as Wrexham completed another amazing comeback.
Steven Fletcher scored an 88th minute equaliser and fellow replacement Jordan Davies immediately grabbed the winner, with Sam Dalby – another substitute – having a hand in both goals.
Parkinson admits he has been given a lot of food for thought.
“Selection headaches are fantastic for a manager,” said the Reds’ boss.
“The teams which are ultimately successful are the ones with strong squads.
“Through the season you are going to get injuries and suspensions, and you have got to have a squad capable of dealing with that.
