Ipswich Town star showing ‘clear signs’ of happiness – Parent club now confident of ‘promising future’
Ipswich Town picked up a win over Tottenham Hotspur in London yesterday and it was their first triumph of the Premier League campaign.
Napoli loanee Jens Cajuste started and impressed for Ipswich and things are starting to look better for the Swede.
He arrived at the club at the back of a frustrating spell in Naples but it seems like there is a positive feeling at his parent club too.
SportNapoli note that Cajuste is showing ‘clear signs’ of happiness at Ipswich now and the feeling is that he is settling into life in England very well – something which didn’t happen in Italy.
Because of how things have grown, there is a confidence that the midfielder will have a ‘promising future’ and Napoli believe that Cajuste will become a key part of Kieran McKenna’s plans.
Ipswich Town will be able to sign the player permanently if they avoid relegation and as of now, they only have an option to buy him after the loan. The better he performs, the lielier it is that an effort will be made.
We all owe Leicester and Ipswich an apology
Unless this seven-way relegation scrap quickly dwindles in numbers, Leicester and Ipswich have every reason to believe they can defy pre-season expectations
Tottenham Hotspur lost for the fifth time in the Premier League this season on Sunday afternoon, beaten by Ipswich Town, who recorded their first triumph of the campaign, prompting Alan Shearer to criticise the North London outfit’s inconsistency, but insist that Ange Postecoglou is not under pressure.
A spectacular overhead kick from Sammie Szmodics and a tap-in from Liam Delap gave the Tractor Boyes a two-goal lead at half-time, before Rodrigo Bentancur pulled one back in the second period. Despite pushing for an equaliser late-on, it didn’t come, condemning Spurs to tenth place heading into the international break.
While lamenting the Lillywhites for producing erratically mixed results throughout the course of the season so far, Shearer doesn’t believe this should warrant serious pressure on Postecoglou’s job, as the Australian’s side remain in touching distance of the top four.
