Everton have lacked quality in attack this season.
Sean Dyche’s men have scored just 10 goals in their opening 11 games and as a result, they find themselves narrowly above the relegation zone.
The Friedkin Group aren’t happy with the current situation at Everton and could look to make a change in the dugout if things get any worse.
But for now, Dyche is receiving the backing and could be given funds in the January transfer window to bring in further reinforcements.
With that said, it’s just come to light that Everton have been named as a possible destination for a highly-rated attacker on the continent.
Everton named as possible destination for Ernest Nuamah
Everton were interested in signing Lyon attacker Ernest Nuamah during the summer transfer window but they failed to get a deal over the line.
Now, according to the Daily Mail, Everton have been named as a possible destination for Nuamah this Janaury transfer window
Lyon are set to be relegated to Ligue 2 next season by French football’s financial watchdog and they can’t sign any players until they resolve their books.
So they will have to sell key assets to raise funds and that will likely see Nuamah – who is considered ‘Ghana’s next big thing’ (The Atheltic) – sold on a permanent deal.
The exciting young attacker is valued at around £25m.
