Nuno Espirito Santo wowed by Nottingham Forest star who ‘gives energy’ and now he has to start picking him
Nottingham Forest were well beaten by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium yesterday as the club’s unbeaten away record came tumbling to a halt.
The Reds lost courtesy of goals from Bukayo Saka, Thomas Partey and Ethan Nwaneri with Forest slipping down to seventh in the Premier League table.
All is not lost for Forest but the positives were few and far between yesterday with the Reds handed a harsh reality check in North London.
Anthony Elanga was forced out of the game at half-time through injury and that handed Jota Silva the chance to enter the fray.
After the game, Nuno Espirito Santo was keen to discuss the impact that Silva had on the game and it appears he was pretty impressed with the forward.

What Nuno Espirito Santo said about Forest star Jota Silva
The Forest head coach clearly wasn’t impressed with his team’s efforts yesterday – particularly from a defensive point of view.
It was the second successive game where Forest have shipped three goals and that definitely provides some cause for concern.
However, it seems as though Espirito Santo was pretty impressed with the performance from substitute Silva.
He said in his press conference: “He started on the right, he brings energy, then he went to play inside and gained something from his mobility and speed.
“Even though we have important players out I think we have solutions in the squad to provide answers.”
Espirito Santo has to give Jota Silva a starting berth vs Ipswich
The hope will clearly be that Morgan Gibbs-White or Elliot Anderson are fit to play against Ipswich next week but if not Silva has to be knocking on the door.
Morato and Murillo have both lauded Silva for his efforts in training in recent weeks that he must be knocking on the gaffer’s door on a regular basis.
Silva did have the ball in the net yesterday but the goal was ruled out for offside with Forest already 3-0 down in the contest.
The player signed for £11 million from Vitora in the summer always gives his all and it’s quite ridiculous to think he’s not started a game for Forest yet.
With injuries starting to be collected within the squad, there feels like no reason not to give Silva a go from the start next week against Ipswich.
