Kyle Shanahan, head coach for the San Francisco 49ers, is adamant about staying with the San Francisco 49ers, despite rumors that there might be a change in coaching positions soon. The 49ers are not having a great season so far, and are currently at the bottom of the NFC West with six wins and seven defeats this season. In their previous matchup, the 49ers showed a little spunk when they defeated the Chicago Bears with an impressive 38-13. In that game, San Francisco’s QB Brock Purdy went for 325 yards, completing 20 passes out of 25 attempts, with a pair of TDs. Isaac Guerendo took charge of the rushing with 15 carries for 78 yards, scoring twice, while George Kittle defended with six receptions. After the game, Shanahan spoke to reporters about his feelings about SF.
While the 49ers have been struggling this season, even general manager John Lynch does not appreciate even the thought of losing Kyle Shanahan as coach. Lynch went on to point out that Shanahan is indeed an ‘excellent head coach’. As a unit, the 49ers have won four division championships out of the last five, and have also managed to play two Super Bowls, which is quite an appreciable feat.
