The Premier League is now at the halfway stage, or at least for most clubs, and as you would expect, fortunes have varied for the London outfits. Chelsea and Fulham will be delighted with their efforts so far, while Brentford can be pleased overall, especially with their injury issues over recent weeks.

Arsenal have performed below expectations, while West Ham will be hugely disappointed with their efforts. Crystal Palace were frustrated with their start, but they seem to be moving in the right direction having improved significantly in recent weeks. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the top flight clubs.

Palace eye goalkeeper

Crystal Palace are said to be keen on a deal to sign Club América goalkeeper Luis Malagón. That’s according to Infobae via SportWitness, who say the Eagles have already made an approach amid a reported asking price of £8.7million.

Dean Henderson, Matt Turner and Remi Matthews are the Palace options at goalkeeper currently, but if the report is true, it would seem Oliver Glasner is not content with those options. Malagón is 27 years of age.

West Ham eye Mendez

West Ham are said to be interested in a move for Real Sociedad creative spark Brais Mendez. According to Super Deporte, the Hammers are going ‘all out’ in an attempt to land the attacking midfielder, who has three goals and as many assists so far this season.

Mendez has a release clause of £49.7million, which would make it an expensive deal for West Ham, especially if they want to keep Carlos Soler full-time. Naturally, West ham would be looking to test La Real with an offer below that clause, and as usual, much will depend on the player’s intentions.

Osimhen twist

Galatasaray are reportedly hoping to keep Victor Osimhen on a full-time basis against all odds amid reported interest from Chelsea, Manchester United and others. According to Fanatik, the Turkish club are currently working to find the 75million euros they need to keep the striker permanently, providing he is willing to stay.

The report claims president Dursun Özbek is even willing to find the money himself, with the club said to be helped by the presence of two giant sponsorships from China.

Eze hopes

Palace star Ebereche Eze is hoping he and his teammates are able to build on their recent momentum after beating Southampton from behind. He told the Palace TV channel: “We want to do better than we’ve done so far this season. We’re not where we want to be now, for sure.

“But I feel like we’re in the right place, we’re in the right frame of mind. We’ve got the right mindset and I feel like we’ll kick on. It was a tough game [against Southampton]. I feel like in the first-half, we had quite a few chances. We could have probably gone ahead then, but it’s one of those games where we stuck to it. We kept going, we kept pushing, and got the three points.”
