Report: Roma are plotting a move to bring Spurs star back to Serie A

ASRomaLive.it have revealed that AS Roma are now contemplating a move to sign Dejan Kulusevski from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

While Kulusevski has produced several moments of real quality through the season, he has lacked the consistency that Ange Postecoglou would expect and there have been suggestions over recent weeks that he could be on his way out of Spurs this summer.

Last month, it was reported by Radio Kiss Kiss (relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb) that Napoli are eyeing a move for the Swede this summer, with the report adding that club president Aurelio De Laurentiis ‘greatly admires’ the former Juventus man.

Roma enter the race for Dejan Kulusevski

ASRomaLive claim that the Giallorossi have also set their sights on Kulusevski as they wish to bolster their attack.

The report claims that Roma are on the lookout for players who will suit Daniele De Rossi’s system, with the Tottenham man being identified as a target in ‘the last few hours’.

The outlet states that the Serie A club’s technical staff ‘really like’ Kulusevski and that the player does not rule out a return to Italy.

However, the publication makes it clear that Roma’s chances of signing the 24-year-old would depend on whether Tottenham are willing to sanction an initial loan deal with a purchase option.

Tottenham report: Paulo Dybala could join from Roma…

I would not be shocked if Tottenham listened to offers for Kulusevski.

When Postecoglou was talking about the club needing to make tough decisions by letting some good players leave since they are not good fits for his system, I suspect he might have been referring to the likes of Kulusevski, who struggles to beat his man.

However, I do not think Spurs would be swayed by offers of less than £40m for the winger.
