Buffalo Bills To Acquire Lethal San Francisco 49ers Brock Purdy Weapon In Wild Trade Proposal
The Buffalo Bills have been eliminated from the playoffs in each of the last three years via a loss in the divisional round. Clearly, something has to be done by the Bills for them to get over that particular hump.
Brandon Aiyuk To The Buffalo Bills?
The Bills are still a pretty talented squad, but their odds to win the Super Bowl could get better if they found a way to pull off a trade proposed by Jarrett Bailey of Touchdown Wire, which has San Francisco 49ers wideout Brandon Aiyuk going to Buffalo in exchange for 2024 first-rounder and a 2025 second-rounder.
The Bills need a real weapon at receiver, and Aiyuk would step in and be the top guy in their offense. Stefon Diggs showed signs that he was losing a step down the stretch, as he went through his own slump. After having five 100 yard games in the first six weeks of the season, Diggs didn’t have another such performance for the rest of the year, and had six games with four or fewer catches and seven games of fewer than 50 yards receiving.
The Bills are currently the owners of the No. 28 pick in the NFL Draft, and if they send that pick to the 49ers for Aiyuk, that would mean San Francisco will have two late selections in the first round. By virtue of their runner-up finish in the 2023 NFL season, the 49ers have the No. 31 pick overall for the said draft.
The Buffalo Bills wouldn’t be such a shabby destination for Aiyuk in such a proposal, considering that Buffalo has an elite quarterback in Josh Allen. In 2023, the Bills ranked sixth in the NFL with 26.6 points per game and 10th in passing yards with 238.4 per outing.
