Hull City boss Liam Rosenior calls on supporters to raise backing levels after mid-week boos
City host Leicester on Saturday looking to make it seven games unbeaten in the Championship
Hull City head coach Liam Rosenior says the boos which greeted the full-time whistle on Tuesday night left him frustrated and has urged supporters to relish the opportunity which faces the Tigers in the final 10 games as they look to seal a play-off place.
City dominated Tuesday night’s contest with Birmingham and were in front from the 25th minute when Ozan Tufan directed in Fabio Carvalho’s corner, albeit with his arm, but despite their complete control, Rosenior’s men could not kill the game off and were always vulnerable, and so it proved when Lukas Jutkiewicz stepped off the bench to head in the equaliser in the final 10 minutes
Fans vented their frustration at full-time, and while Rosenior was furious with his side after the game, as he prepares his players for the biggest test of the season to date with the visit of Leicester City to the MKM Stadium on Saturday, has called on fans to back his young side who sit sixth after 36 games, and have a two-point cushion to Norwich in seventh.

“It’s all about staying the course, it’s all the things I’ve said in the past. I understand emotion. I understand everybody wants us to be successful, me, probably the most out of everyone,” the Tigers boss said in conversation with Hull Live.
“The way you get there is you accumulate points and you stay on course for what you’re doing and you keep belief in what you’re doing and keep working really, really hard. I was emotional after the game because we were that much in control. There were elements of our performance that tell me we are such a good team at this level, but what we have to do and the players are aware of it because we’ve spoken about it, is we have to put teams to bed
We have to put the games to bed and if we do that, we’re in a wonderful position. If anyone had said at the start (of the season) with 10 games to go, you’re in the top six. There’s not a person at this football club who wouldn’t have taken that, so let’s enjoy where we are.
“Let’s enjoy the fact that we’re playing an unbelievable Leicester team on Saturday where we’re the underdogs and we have to get everything perfect. Let’s stick together.
