Frustrated Hull City boss makes MKM Stadium admission after latest setback

The Tigers have won just seven of their 20 at the MKM Stadium

Hull City head coach Liam Rosenior admits his side’s form at the MKM Stadium is nowhere near good enough and says it has to improve in the final weeks of the season. Friday’s 2-0 home loss to struggling Stoke City was the Tigers’ sixth defeat in front of their own supporters this season and just one win since the turn of the year and only seven in 20 since the start of the season.

In fact, including the FA Cup draw with Birmingham City in early January, it’s now one win in 12 home matches for Rosenior’s men who have found it difficult to win games on home soil despite a flurry of sold-out crowds and groundswell of support.

Rosenior’s Tigers have just three games left at the MKM Stadium before the campaign draws to a close and their hopes of finishing inside the top six were severely dented after Friday’s awful display against a Potters side who eased their own relegation troubles with a morale-boosting away success.

“Our home form needs to be better,” Rosenior told Hull Live as he reflected on a day to forget. “Our home form has to be better. We have to find a way where (we win more games), and that’s something I’ll look at between now and the next one.
