Colts Have Waived Veteran
Among the list of NFL transactions that has come in recent days is the Indianapolis Colts’ decision to waive a veteran pass-catcher.
According to insider Aaron Wilson, the team waived second-year wide receiver Terrell Bynum.
With already seven wide receivers on their active roster, there just wasn’t much room for Bynum at all.
Bynum went undrafted in 2023 out of the University of Southern California before being signed by the Los Angeles Chargers.
He appeared in just one game for one snap, which came in Week 11 against the Green Bay Packers.
After he did not sign a reserve/future contract with Los Angeles, he left to look for employment elsewhere.
Earlier this offseason, he joined the Colts on January 17th after signing a reserve/future contract.
After spending months with the team, he has been waived.
Again, the Colts have a very deep core out wide and in the slot.
Led by star Michael Pittman Jr., the team also has ascending players in Josh Downs and rookie Adonai Mitchell, who they drafted out of Texas in the second round of the NFL Draft.
Veterans Alec Pierce and Ashton Dulin also provide help for Indy’s air attack.
This group of five makes it very difficult for any young players looking to make it in the NFL.
Looking ahead towards the upcoming season, head coach Shane Steichen and quarterback Anthony Richardson will look to utilize the talent that they have at their disposal in their receiver room.
When they do that, they make trouble for every other team.
