Kent has played just seven times since moving to Istanbul from Glasgow in the summer

Hull City continue to be linked with a move for Fenerbahce’s wantaway winger Ryan Kent, amid a growing expectation that the former Rangers man is set to leave the Turkish giants.

City had Kent listed as a potential option last month leading into the transfer window and it’s understood that they held initial talks with Fenerbahce over a loan move for the 27-year-old, who has struggled to make an impact in Istanbul since moving to the club in the summer, following his exit from Rangers, before moving in a different direction.

Bringing in a winger remains a key priority for City this month, and talks continue over making that happen, though boss Liam Rosenior and the club’s recruitment team are prepared to be patient to land their top target ahead of the window closing two weeks on Friday, although it won’t be early January target Manuel Benson. The Burnley winger is understood to be keen to join Southampton, while City have opted to pursue another option.
