Bengals Select Georgia Offensive Tackle Amarius Mims in The Athletic’s Latest Mock Draft
CINCINNATI — The Bengals went to the trenches in The Athletic’s latest 2024 NFL mock draft. Teague Robinson has Cincinnati selecting Georgia offensive tackle Amarius Mims at Pick 18.
Mims checks in as the 22nd-ranked player on the consensus big board.
“With the Bengals placing the franchise tag on No. 2 wideout Tee Higgins, tackle would appear to be the top priority for a franchise that badly needs to keep Joe Burrow upright and healthy,” Robinson wrote. “Mims is light on college starting experience, but he has the talent to step in and make a difference right away.”
Mims could be a great replacement for Jonah Williams and he shouldn’t have any issue playing on that side, having suited up at right tackle his whole college career.

New report emerges on Bengals’ draft priorities for Round 1 and the punter situation
The Cincinnati Bengals are currently in Indianapolis for the annual NFL Scouting Combine.
Typically, the combine can produce scoops on what NFL teams are planning for the offseason.
For the Bengals, a major scoop came from FOX 19’s Jeremy Rauch, who says the Bengals are prioritizing offensive tackle, cornerback, and interior defensive line in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
That’s no real surprise, as o-line and d-line are two positions that have to be addressed either in free agency or early in this year’s draft. Even if DJ Reader is re-signed, it would be great to have another impact player in the middle of the defense since Reader and BJ Hill are the only impact-makers on the roster there.
