Wrexham fans are all saying the same thing after Scott Butler just completed a move to a non-league club.
After winning a second consecutive promotion to League One, Phil Parkinson is overhauling his Wrexham squad this summer.
He represented the Swans at under-18 and under-23 levels before returning to the Racecourse Ground in October 2022.
The 21-year-old was initially signed on a trial and became a key feature in the reserve team, impressing at the heart of the defence, and was handed the No.24 shirt in Parkinson’s squad.
Butler made one appearance during their title-winning 2022/23 campaign, starting alongside academy graduate Max Cleworth and Harry Lennon against Altrincham in the FA Trophy.
Having impressed in the reserve side, he was handed a loan spell at Nantwich Town in the summer of 2023, with the Welshman then moving onto Northern Premier League side Marine in January 2024.
The youngster excelled with the Mariners and has now returned to the club on a permanent deal, with Wrexham supporters having a lot to say about this news.

Having watched him flourish in the reserve side and out on loan, some supporters were surprised to see him leave, with one fan saying: “I’m surprised we’ve let him go. Looked good whenever I’ve seen him play. Good luck.”
Another supporter said: “Great to see Scott securing a new club. Best of luck.”
A third added: “Great lad, top player and brilliant signing. Good luck scotty.”
It looks as though Marine is the perfect fit for Butlers development, so lets hope he can continue improving away from Wrexham.
Wrexham are in the market for new signings after winning promotion and one familiar name appears to be on Phil Parkinson’s wish list.
Wrexham have allowed a number of players to leave the club this summer but are yet to strike an incoming deal.
