The Cleveland Browns have signed eight undrafted free agents.
The group of undrafted free agents is comprised of five offensive players and three defensive players. Rookie minicamp will run from Friday, May 10 through Sunday, May 12. In addition, the club waived C Dawson Deaton with a failed physical designation.
Ahmarean Brown | WR | South Carolina
Name pronounced AH-mar-EE-an…Appeared in 54 career games with 27 starts between Georgia Tech (2019-20) and South Carolina (2021-23), logging 92 career receptions for 1,136 yards and nine touchdowns…Finished third on the team with 265 receiving yards and fourth on the team with 26 receptions in 2023…A two-time SEC Academic Honor Roll honoree…Earned bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies…Native of Tampa, Fla. and attended Jefferson High School, where he also ran track.
Javion Cohen | G | Miami (Fla.)
First pronounced JAY-viy-ahn…Spent time at Alabama (2021-23) before transferring to Miami (Fla.) for the 2023 season…Served as one of the top performers on the offensive line, earning All-ACC Honorable Mention for the Hurricanes in 2023…Played a key role in the Hurricanes’ offensive line that was named to midseason honor roll for Joe Moore Award, honoring the nation’s top unit…Appeared in 42 career games with 36 starts…Majored in American Studies…Native of Phenix City, Ala. and attended Central High School.
Started his collegiate career at Samford (2019-21) before transferring to Arizona State (2022-23)…Appeared in 24 games at Arizona State, posting 121 tackles, three interceptions and eight passes defensed…Finished the 2023 season fifth on the team in tackles, while leading the team with three interceptions…Played 27 games at Samford, recording 83 tackles, eight interceptions and ten passes defensed…Named first team All-SoCon and was a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award for the top defensive player in all of FCS football in 2021…Graduated from Arizona State in spring 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies…Native of Phenix City, Ala. and prepped at Brookstone School in Columbus, Ga., where he played both wide receiver and defensive back.
