Crystal Palace now sign another £30m Arsenal player as well as Eddie Nketiah Who Will Be Replacing…
Arsenal could be ready to sell a number of players this summer and Crystal Palace now want to take one of their fringe midfielders off their hands.
The Gunners have had a superb season but Mikel Arteta is keen to keep things evolving and a number of players could be sold to help with FFP.
Among them, Eddie Nketiah is a player expected to be on the list of a number of clubs, with Crystal Palace among the teams keen on the striker.
However, it is not just Nketiah who Palace reportedly want to sign, with Oliver Glasner also looking at landing one of Arsenal’s midfield players.
Crystal Palace keen on Reiss Nelson as Arsenal to demand £30m
According to a report from Football Transfers today, Palace are considering a move for Gunners midfielder Nelson.
The 24-year-old has had another season of being on the fringes of things and with first-team football needed at his age, a summer switch could be on the cards.
FT reports how Arsenal will look to bring in around £30m for Nelson if they do decide to sell him.
Palace, meanwhile, are looking for new players with both Michael Olise and Ebere Eze potentially on the move this summer.
Mikel Arteta is looking to bring in new faces over the summer and with £30m each for Nelson and Nketiah potentially coming in, that gives the Gunners £60m to go directly towards FFP matters.
Nelson could well see a move to Palace as ideal right now. Oliver Glasner’s arrival has signalled a shift in the dynamic at Selhurst Park.
Reiss Nelson needs to leave Arsenal
Now he’s 24 and with another season of doing relatively little under his belt, the time has surely come for Reiss Nelson to move on from The Emirates.
A move to Palace wouldn’t be the worst decision either, especially if Eze or Olise do go.
It would give Nelson the chance to really stake his claim at being a regular Premier League starter and show those at Arsenal what they’re missing.
Of course, the deal will need to make sense for everyone involved but with little game-time, Arteta wanting further new faces, and Palace on the up, the time might well be now.
But there could be plenty of incomings at Palace too, with Glasner encouraged by recent performances and results but still of the opinion that positions such as centre-back must be strengthened. The Eagles are also hoping to address the left wing-back position, where there is no understudy to Tyrick Mitchell.
