The Commanders Have Released Veteran QB

fromm spent the entire 2023 campaign on the team’s practice squad, sitting behind Sam Howell and Jacoby Brissett in the team’s pecking order.

Now, he’s going to pursue another opportunity somewhere else.

Fromm hasn’t played a snap in the regular season since 2021.

He entered the league as a fifth-round pick out of the University of Georgia back in 2020, and he should still find his way to another organization.

The Commanders are already more than set in their QB room.

LSU star rookie Jayden Daniels is fully expected to be the starter from day one, with Marcus Mariota serving as his backup.

Then, they also have Jeff Driskel and Sam Hartman.

Hopefully, Daniels will be able to stay on the field and avoid injury.

He’s one of the most exciting prospects entering the league this season, and he’s coming off a stellar campaign in Baton Rouge.

Daniels has drawn comparisons to a couple of dual-threat stars like Robert Griffin III and Lamar Jackson, and he’ll play under a savvy offensive mind in Kliff Kingsbury.

Still, it might be a while before the Commanders are ready to keep up with the rest of the NFC and get back to playoff contention.
