The offseason of change rolls on for the Las Vegas Raiders. First, we saw the ownership group move forward with hiring Antonio Pierce to be the full-time head coach. Then, some drama took over, with Kliff Kingsbury seemingly accepting the offensive coordinator position, only to land with the Washington Commanders days later.

Now, the Raiders are making another addition to their organization with a name that’s very familiar to NFL fans.

According to the man himself, Chad Johnson has gotten a job with the Las Vegas Raiders. Ochocinco revealed the news Wednesday on IG Live, but it is not yet known what role he’ll hold within the organization.

For Johnson, it’s a reunion of sorts with Marvin Lewis, who used to coach Ochocinco during their time together with the Cincinnati Bengals. Now, Lewis is the assistant head coach in Las Vegas.

Another familiar face that could be joining Johnson and Lewis is Hue Jackson, who recently interviewed for an unknown role on the Raiders’ offensive coaching staff. Jackson coached Johnson for three seasons when he served as the receivers coach in Cincinnati from 2004-06.

During his playing days, Johnson was named to two All-Pro teams and became a six-time Pro Bowl receiver after being selected 36th overall in the 2001 NFL Draft. Now, years after his NFL retirement in 2011, Johnson is returning to the game he loves, but this time, in a much different role. Just exactly what role that will be remains to be seen
