Liam Rosenior offers Hull City injury update as Tigers prepare for Boro
The Tigers’ duo did not feature in Saturday’s crucial victory in South Wales
Hull City will run the rule over club captain Lewie Coyle and on-loan left-back Ryan Giles as the Tigers prepare for their latest must-win encounter at home to Middlesbrough on Wednesday night.
Skipper Coyle and Giles both missed the dominant 3-1 win at Cardiff City on Saturday through injury and though Coyle travelled with the squad to South Wales, Giles was left back in East Yorkshire to continue his recovery from a groin strain he picked up on Monday night in the defeat at Leeds.
City head coach Liam Rosenior hopes both will be fit to feature against Boro as his side look to back up their fine win against the Bluebirds and make it successive victories and in the process, claim just a second home league win in their last 12 games.

“Lewie, it sums him up, he was in a lot of pain after the whack that he took against Leeds,” Rosenior said. “He was like ‘gaffer, inject me, I want to go out and play.’ We’ve got three games in a week and I need to manage the squad, I also need to look after the players.
“I knew it would be a physical game. Cardiff are really, really good from set plays. Coylely will come right back into my thinking for the next one.
“Gilo is touch and go for Wednesday, so it’s not a big injury, he wasn’t quite ready to train (on Friday), so we wanted him to stay back at home, not get on a plane and travel down and make sure that he’s rested up. I thought Matty Jacob didn’t put a foot wrong, I thought he was magnificent.
