Ex-Manchester United striker Noah Ohio becomes Hull City’s latest transfer arrival
The Tigers have competed the second signing of a busy Tuesday
Hull City have continued their aggressive assault on the January transfer market by capturing former Manchester United and Manchester City youngster Noah Ohio.
Ohio arrives from Belgium outfit Standard Liege on loan for the remainder of the season, as Liam Rosenior strengthens his attacking ranks for the final 18 games starting with Saturday’s home clash with Millwall at the MKM Stadium.
The 21-year-old frontman’s switch is a straight loan after Liege rejected the possibility of City inserting an option to buy into the deal with the youngster still highly regarded by his parent club.

Having come through the ranks at United and then City, Ohio took the plunge and moved to German outfit Leipzig before having loan spells at Vitesse Arnhem and Austria Vienna, before making the move to Liege, signing a four-year deal in the summer of 2022.
A Dutch Under-21 international, Ohio has five goals in six international appearances for his country and will hope to find his goalscoring touch at City in the final weeks of the season, as he provides competition for Aaron Connolly and Billy Sharp. The pacey frontman is expected to go straight into the Rosenior’s squad for the weekend visit of the Lions, where he will be joined by Ryan Giles after his move from Luton Town was confirmed earlier on Tuesday.
Ohio’s arrival takes City’s January signings to five and it’s hoped there will be at least two more additions made before Thursday’s 11pm deadline with the club hoping to get a deal to sign Abdulkadir Omur over the line, and so, too, a winger. Rosenior has a number of potential options to bring in out wide, but the club believe any possible arrival in that position could go down to the wire.
