Alabama definitely a top school for 4-Star OL Maxwell Riley after in-depth look at program
Maxwell Riley got back to Tuscaloosa earlier this week and got to spend a couple of days around the Crimson Tide program.
Riley attends Avon Lake High School in Ohio, and he is a 2026 four-star recruit. He holds several college football offers at the moment including offers from Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State and others.
Alabama offered Riley in March during an unofficial visit. Riley’s return visit to Tuscaloosa this week allowed him to get an in-depth look at Alabama’s program.
“I toured the facilities, campus and weight room,” Riley told Touchdown Alabama. “I also got to watch a player-ran practice and met with coach (Kalen) DeBoer and was with Coach Kap (Chris Kapilovic) for most of the two days I was there.”
Alabama is now one of the schools standing out Early to Riley after ‘learning more about the program’ during his multi-day visit.
“They are definitely one of my top schools,” Riley said.

Ohio State Buckeyes Land Game-Changing Recruit Over Michigan, Alabama
The Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines battle each November in one of college football’s greatest rivalries. They competed for a top recruit in the 2025 recruiting class.
The Buckeyes were the winners in this recruitment. Ohio State earned a commitment from the On3 Sports’ No. 5 wide receiver in Quincy Porter.
The top receiver from Oradell (NJ) detailed why the Buckeyes were the right program for Porter.
“Ultimately Ohio State has done it the best when it comes to receivers.”
Porter isn’t the first wide receiver from the northeast to choose the Buckeyes. Philadelphia (PA) star Marvin Harrison Jr. and fellow Pennsylvania receiver Julian Fleming chose Ohio State out of the same region.
Certainly, the Buckeyes have a strong recent track record in getting top receivers to the NFL. Harrison is only one of the latest Buckeyes to go from college star to a professional receiver.
Ohio State has the edge over Michigan in five-star talent. They’ll look to gain the advantage on the field when Porter is on campus.
