‘s Ryan Fraser forced to leave St Mary’s on crutches
MANAGER Russell Martin has confirmed that winger Ryan Fraser left St Mary’s on crutches having suffered an injury against Millwall.
The Scot was forced off in the first half of Southampton’s 2-1 defeat to Millwall in Neil Harris’ first game back in charge of the Lions.
Zian Flemming scored a penalty late in the first half to cancel out Che Adams’ equaliser.
The injured Fraser was replaced by Sam Edozie, but Martin was left wanting a bigger impact from the players on the pitch.

Speaking to the Daily Echo, Martin said: “It is a sore one. We will have to assess things. He took a whack on his knee.
“Wee Man comes off and we lost a lot. We lost a lot of running and threat of assists and goals.
“The other guys need to contribute. We did not have Arma on the pitch because he was really tired. He was immense in the last couple of weeks.
“When they are not on the pitch the other players need to contribute as well. Unfortunately, we did not get that again.
“I’ve not got a clue at the moment how bad it is. He won’t be available for the Liverpool game with the way he is. He is on crutches.”
