Stoke City confirm 25-man squad list with three players left out and one vacancy

Stoke City have registered 24 players in their squad for the rest of the season – with one vacancy and three players on the fringes left out ready to be called up if needed.
Four players were added in the January transfer window to the squad that Steven Schumacher inherited in December, while Dwight Gayle departed by mutual consent late on deadline day. Million Manhoef, who only turned 22 last month, still counts as an under-21s player – it is anyone who was under the age of 21 on January 1, 2023 – while Niall Ennis and Luke Cundle are on the list. There is no place for rookie Scott Morris, aged 22 and a New Zealand youth international brought in from Christchurch United to bolster the keeper department.
There is no place for 22-year-old left-back Liam McCarron, who signed from Leeds United in the summer of 2022 and made his Stoke debut in the FA Cup against Brighton last month; nor back-up keeper Blondy Nna Noukeu, also 22.
