Ja'Marr Chase loves showdowns with Browns — they talk the most trash

Ja’Marr Chase Made Franchise History In Win Over Brown

It has been a rough year for the Cincinnati Bengals, as injuries suffered by superstar quarterback Joe Burrow basically derailed the 2023 NFL season for the promising young squad.

Burrow’s calf strain in training camp was one speed bump, and then after he was able to return to the field, the up-and-coming quarterback went down with a season-ending wrist injury that required surgery.

Even though Burrow only played 10 games for the Bengals this season, the team was still able to finish the 2023 campaign with a winning record, with Cincinnati getting the best of the division-rival Cleveland Browns in Week 18.

Unfortunately, a 9-8 record wasn’t good enough for the Bengals to make the playoffs, with Cincinnati’s season ending earlier than expected.

Despite a forgettable season that ended without a playoff berth, superstar wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase was still able to make franchise history, as he became only the third player in team history to record 100 catches in a season, according to Olivia Ray of WL

In all three seasons he’s played with the Bengals, Chase has eclipsed 1,000 yards receiving each year while catching at least seven touchdown passes every season.

However, ironically enough, this is the first time that Chase has caught 100 passes, as the closest he came to that number was last season when he caught 87 passes, which was six more (81) than his rookie campaign in Cincinnati.

Even though this season ended in disappointment for the Bengals, the franchise is still in great shape moving forward, as long as Burrow can stay healthy in the years to come.
