With the January transfer window now past its halfway point, transfer news across the EFL is beginning to intensify.

One player in particular, Notts County’s Macaulay Langstaff, has been the subject of plenty of attention of late.

This can hardly come as a surprise to Notts County, though, given just how well the 26-year-old has been performing for the club this campaign.

Indeed, Langstaf has gone from strength to strength in recent seasons and shows no sign of slowing down.

Just two seasons ago, Langstaff was turning out for Gateshead in the National League North, and now, Championship clubs are circling.

Of course, impressive goal returns in recent seasons has helped his upward trajectory, first netting 28 in 39 league games for Gateshead, before having an even more astonishing season for Notts County in the National League last season.

Indeed, Langstaff netted 41 league goals, helping the club win promotion via the play-offs.

That hasn’t been enough for Langstaff, though, whose goals have now helped put County into play-off contention once again. This time, though, of course, it is in the EFL.

Notts County currently sit sixth in League Two, and Langstaff’s 20 league goals have certainly helped.

With all of the above said, though, below, we’ve looked at and discussed some of the latest news stories to emerge regarding Langstaff’s future.
