Newcastle eyeing double swoop for Bournemouth duo – Report
Newcastle United are considering a double move for Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly and Phillip Billing this summer, according to The Mail.
Kelly is out of contract in the summer and has caught the eye of toon boss and former Cherries leader Eddie Howe thanks to a number of impressive performances under Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola.
Liverpool and Tottenham were reportedly interested in the defender in January. But it is thought that Italian giants A.C. Milan and former French champions Monaco are interested in bringing Kelly in on the expiry of his contract.
The Englishman has made 119 appearances for the Cherries since joining in 2019, including 11 this season. Like Dan Burn, he is comfortable playing at centre-back and left-back.
The Magpies are also reportedly looking at Phillip Billing after he was considered in January.
Billing, another player brought in by Howe during his time at Bournemouth; may be considered a low cost option should Joelinton leave and FFP woes persist. The Danish international is reportedly priced at £15million.
