The six-foot-three, 183-pound Kitchener native, who turned 21 Sunday, was acquired by the Sting from the Guelph Storm during the 2021-22 season.

Sikic finished his Ontario Hockey League career with 47 goals and 100 assists in 252 regular-season games in four seasons. He also had six points in 21 playoff games.

He picked up a goal and an assist in his final OHL game on Saturday as the Sting beat the Flint Firebirds 3-0 at the Dort Financial Centre in Flint, Mich. The Sting finished ninth in the Western Conference and missed the playoffs.

The Growlers have nine games left in the regular season. Sikic is set to join them for Wednesday’s game at the Worcester Railers.

The move reunites Sikic with former Sting captain Nolan Dillingham, a rookie on the Growlers’ blue-line. Dillingham has three goals, seven assists and 58 penalty minutes in 49 games.

Former Sting teammate Ty Voit also played for the Growlers this season, picking up two goals and six assists in five games. Voit was called up to the Toronto Marlies in December and sustained a season-ending shoulder injury in his American Hockey League debut.
