Former Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool bosses named as Roy Hodgson replacements at Crystal Palace
A string of big-name Premier League managers have emerged as potential options to replace Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace as the London club endures a poor run of form compounded by an injury crisis.
The veteran manager is under pressure from supporters, who have called for big changes at the club in both its management and ownership after recent results. Crystal Palace have only won two of their last 15 fixtures in all competitions and sit 15th in the Premier League, just three points above the relegation zone.
Hodgson hasn’t been helped by injuries to key players such as Eberechi Eze, Marc Guehi and Michael Olise with the latter brought on from the bench against Brighton earlier this month only to hobble off again shortly afterwards. Speaking ahead of last weekend’s Chelsea defeat, the former Fulham and
Liverpool boss said: “The chairman and I talk all the time, but there has been no specific talk about the future. We’re in the job to try to coach a team to be the best it can be and win as many matches as it can and, most important of all, to give fans something they want to see and can be proud of. When the fans have turned against us that’s the worst possible scenario, and you can understand it.
