Hull City hoping to build on Liverpool and Man City relationship with transfer targets planned

The Tigers are prepared for a hectic period over the next couple of months

Hull City will continue to develop relationships with top Premier League clubs this summer as the Tigers look to be aggressive in the transfer market ahead of the new season.

City vice-chairman Tan Kesler says the club remain in talks with top-flight clubs about bringing in the next batch of loan players who will look to follow in the footsteps of Liam Delap, Fabio Carvalho and Tyler Morton

The ambitious Tigers used the loan market to good effect under previous boss Liam Rosenior and will do so again when Tim Walter takes charge, with as many as 10 new players needed to give City a chance of competing for the play-offs once again.

Rosenior’s brand of football ticked plenty of boxes for the likes of Man City and Liverpool helping bring such a calibre of player to the club, and in Walter, the Tigers will play a similar style, albeit more aggressive and with greater attacking intent, something Kesler believes will help attract some of the brightest young talent in the Premier League.

“I don’t see why not because this is not about me, this is not about Liam. I’ve said it in my past conversations, it’s about the club,” Kesler told Hull Live when asked if Rosenior’s exit would have an impact on those relationships.

The chairman’s vision, the level of our club at the moment is still suitable for all these loanees from top clubs because we will still play similar football. More on the attacking side, creating and generating more action. We’re not changing our playing style to direct football either.

“If our fans that have looked into Tim’s (Walter) playing style in Hamburg and Stuttgart, it is possession based and it has similarities to what we play, it’s just more aggressive, therefore, we will recruit more towards that way.
