CONFIRMED DEAL: The San Diego Padres have officially reached a consensus to acquire an experienced starting pitcher from the Milwaukee Brewers   at the deadline. However.

San Diego Padres Right Fielder Fernando Tatis Jr. continued his torrid pace at the plate last night against the Oakland Athletics. He went 1-of-5 with a solo home run in San Diego’s 6-1 victory at home. Tatis Jr. has recorded a hit in 16 straight games dating back to May 25 against the New York Yankees. Over the last 16 games, Tatis Jr. is hitting .412 with five home runs and nine RBI. He has also gone deep in three of his last four games.
