The San Francisco 49ersoito will play for the right to go the Super Bowl on Sunday, facing the Detrt Lions in the NFC Championship. The winner will face either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Baltimore Ravens. The 49ers beat the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Divisional Game, 24-21. Quarterback Brock Purdy finished the contest 23-of-39 for 252 yards and one touchdown. He struggled in the rain but threw for 49 yards in the team’s game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

However, ESPN analyst and former NFL defensive back Ryan Clark remains unimpressed by Purdy despite him remaining undefeated in the postseason in games he finishes. Samuel went to Instagram, reposting a portion of the Ryan Clark rant, saying “Never seen so much hate for a qb that lead the league in almost every category y’all folks be buggin frfr. That tap(e) don’t tell no lies.”

Clark went on for nearly three minutes, saying Purdy is less of a quarterback than Josh Allen, Jared Goff, Patrick Mahomes, and Lamar Jackson. However, only Allen had more passing yards than Purdy, while the latter finished third in passing touchdowns with 31. Clark said, “Brock Purdy does not raise the level of play of anyone around him.

When you talk about Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson, the people around them benefit from having those sorts of players at the quarterback position. Brock Purdy benefits from having the sort of players he has at the skill positions around him.”
