Hull City must press ahead to sign Burnley star amid Manuel Benson news

“I expect him to be a Burnley player” – Hull City transfer prediction made involving the sensational star player

The winger hasn’t been up to the level of some of Hull’s other signings this season

Hull City are in for a busy summer transfer window, with their own players attracting interest from further up the pyramid, and they will have some business of their own to do to try and build on this season’s squad.

The Tigers should be anticipating plenty of phone calls from Premier League teams this summer.

West Ham and Everton have been linked with a move for their star central defender, Jacob Greaves, and, if Hull beat the odds and make it to the Premier League, then Aston Villa will be able to use their £15 million buy-back clause to get Jaden Philogene back to Villa Park.

Reports have said that Hull are intending on holding onto both players this summer, but that may be easier said than done.

They will also need to think about how they are going to improve the team to make them into strong play-off contenders, or more. The Tigers have an outside chance of getting in on the final day of the season, if results go their way.

City have used their connections to bring in impressive loanees like Fabio Carvalho and Liam Delap to help them get to this point. One who hasn’t lived up to expectations is Anass Zaroury.

The Moroccan was part of the Championship-winning Burnley side of a season ago, but he hasn’t been able to play to his best at the MKM Stadium.

Football League World’s Hull fan pundit, Ant Northgraves, has revealed his thoughts on whether the Tigers should try and bring him back in the summer.

Hull fan’s thoughts on Zaroury summer deal
The FLW fan pundit believes that Hull should stay away from a permanent move for the winger, unless it is a can’t-miss deal.

Northgrave said: “On Zaroury, I’ve not really seen anything from him that would convince me that he would be a decent signing for a decent sum of money.

“We brought him in and had to accommodate him in the side to the point that we had to put him on the left and Jaden Philogene out of his position, which is on the left, arguably. He went to the right-hand side and it made Philogene much less effective.

“Zaroury hasn’t had quite the impact to justify moving your best player out of his favoured position.

Zaroury hasn’t shown enough in short spell to justify a permanent Hull move

The one upside to bringing in the 23-year-old would be that he has experience of winning the league at this level. Unfortunately, he wasn’t a major player in that squad, and he hasn’t been under Liam Rosenior either.

Zaroury has netted twice in the 12 appearances he’s made in the Championship, including nine starts, since joining the Tigers in January.
