Jose Miranda had an exceptional game for the Minnesota Twins against the Detroit Tigers, going 5 for 5 with three doubles, scoring four runs, and driving in three RBIs. The Twins dominated the Tigers with a final score of 12-3, ending the game early in the seventh inning due to rain.

The game’s start time was moved up an hour due to the forecasted bad weather. Rain started falling steadily in the fourth inning, and after a 30-minute delay during the bottom of the seventh, the game was called off.

Ryan Jeffers also had a strong performance with three hits and four RBIs, including his 14th home run of the season. Max Kepler contributed with two hits and two RBIs.

Miranda, reflecting on the team’s performance, highlighted their collective batting success, emphasizing that every hitter is contributing effectively.

On the pitching side, Bailey Ober earned the win, his eighth of the season, allowing three runs (one earned) on seven hits over six innings. He struck out eight batters, continuing his solid form with a third consecutive win. The Twins have been performing well, winning six of their last seven series.

Manager Rocco Baldelli expressed satisfaction with the team’s consistency but remained cautious, acknowledging the unpredictable nature of baseball.

Colt Keith hit a home run for the Tigers, and Jake Rogers contributed two RBIs. Kenta Maeda struggled for the Tigers, giving up nine runs on nine hits and three walks in less than four innings of pitching.

Keith started the scoring with a solo home run in the first inning, while a passed  ball by Jeffers in the second inning allowed Zack McKinstry to reach base, setting up a subsequent two-run double by Jake Rogers.
