Jacksonville Jaguars reportedly looking to pull off blockbuster trade in NFL Draft
The Jacksonville Jaguars have been linked to at least one star wide receiver on the NFL trade block after losing Calvin Ridley to the Tennessee Titans in free agency.
General manager Trent Baalke and Co. at least have to find a decent wide receiver room for franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
Signing Gabe Davis away from the Buffalo Bills to team up with Zay Jones and Christian Kirk doesn’t necessarily do that.
Short of Jacksonville adding an elite veteran talent in a blockbuster trade, the team will need to address this position in next week’s NFL Draft.

Jacksonville Jaguars targeting Malik Nabers in blockbuster NFL Draft trade
John Shipley of Jaguar Report noted on Wednesday that Jacksonville is extremely high on the former LSU wide receiver and could look to move into the top 10 for him.
Some teams surprisingly have Nabers ahead of consensus No. 1 wide receiver prospect Marvin Harrison Jr. of Ohio State. He’s been ascending the draft boards a lot heading into the annual event next week.
Sportsnaut’s most-recent NFL mock draft has Nabers landing with the New York Giants at sixth overall. With Jacksonville slated to select 17th, it would cost an arm and a leg to move into the top-six for the star pass-catcher.
Various NFL trade value charts point to Jacksonville having to yield its second, third and fourth-round pick in order to move up with New York. The team could also simply offer up its first-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
- Malik Nabers stats (2023): 89 receptins, 1,569 yards, 14 TD
The question here is rather obvious. Would Jacksonville be better off giving up the 17th pick and change for a proven player such as San Francisco 49ers star Brandon Aiyuk?
Either way, intrigue is high in Duval leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft a week from Thursday.
