Stoke City get green light to hand deadline-day signing debut at Blackburn
News from Clayton Wood as Stoke City prepare for Championship match at Blackburn Rovers
Million Manhoef has received approval to come into the Stoke City squad for a crunch game at Blackburn Rovers.
The 22-year-old winger signed from Vitesse Arnhem on Thursday last week just before the transfer deadline passed – but did not have his work permit papers processed in time to feature at home to Leicester City last Saturday.
He has trained this week, however, and can now travel to Ewood Park, along with Junior Tchamadeu, who is back from the Africa Cup of Nations and well again following illness. Josh Laurent (ankle) has joined in training too and could come into contention for selection again next week. Niall Ennis is pushing for a first start – against the club who sold him last week.

Steven Schumacher said: “The work permit is all done so Million’s trained this week and looked ok, looked nice and sharp and he’s integrating into the group really well.
“It’s been good to have Junior back and having his energy on the pitch has been excellent. He’s always full of it, loads of enthusiasm and trains brilliantly so he’s been a big boost.
“Josh Laurent trained half-a-session on Tuesday and then the whole session today. He’ll do a bit more tomorrow. The squad is looking really strong and we’re in a good place for the weekend.”
