Will Anderson Jr. ‘jumping up and down’ about new teammate
Houston defensive end Will Anderson Jr. already was eagerly anticipating his second NFL season. Then the Texans’ signing of Danielle Hunter revved him up even more.
“I’m very excited,” Anderson told Aaron Wilson of KPRC-TV at a Big Brothers Big Sisters Gulf Coast charitable event. “He’s with our agency, Klutch. I got a chance to meet him at the Pro Bowl, have dinner with him, and then he was up here a few days ago and I got to talk to him then. I was just jumping up and down because I was so excited because now teams, they got to choose who they’re going to double-team, so it’s really exciting. He’s a great guy. He loves football. I can’t wait to learn from him and go out there and wreak havoc with him.”
Hunter confirmed Anderson’s level of excitement during his press conference after signing a two-year, $49 million contract with Houston.
“That kid right there, he’s exciting,” Hunter said. “He has a lot of tools. I was with him earlier, and he just can’t stop jumping, how eager he is to just go out there and rush the passer together. Very good kid. I’m excited just to be able to go out there and teach him a lot of things that I know and help him become a better player and, at the same time, learn a lot from him also.”
