The accomplished Bregman, a veteran third baseman who’s won multiple World Series Championships with the team, is one of their franchise’s most notable players. Bregman has certainly earned a lengthy extension with the team.

Bregman has put together a terrific career. Over his eight years in the big leagues, Bregman’s hit .274/.373/.487 for an OPS of .861. His best season thus far was his 2019 effort, which landed him as the runner-up for the American League MVP award. He hit .296/.423/.592 that season with a league-high 119 walks drawn.That extension is likely to come. Just not anytime soon, it seems.
