All offseason we talked about how the Miami Dolphins need immediate help at certain positions if they want to be competitors for a Super Bowl. In the first round, the Dolphins selected Chop Robinson. While a gifted pass rusher, he’ll be used in sub packages as he struggles against the run. In the second round last night, the Dolphins selected Patrick Paul who will most likely be Terron Armstead’s successor at left tackle. Paul isn’t going to see the field as long as Armstead is healthy. So with their top picks in the draft, instead of immediate help the Dolphins looked down the road towards the future. Which is what no one expected or wanted.
