Vanessa Hudgens’ husband Cole Tucker lands deal with new MLB team
It is the start of something new for Cole Tucker.
Bob Nightengale of USA Today Sports reported this week that the veteran utilityman Tucker is signing a deal with the Seattle Mariners. It is a minor-league contract for Tucker but with an invite to Major League spring training as well.
Tucker, 27, plays mainly at shortstop and right field but has played five different positions over the course of his MLB career. He hit .211 with a .573 OPS over four seasons as a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2019-22. Tucker then spent the 2023 season with the Colorado Rockies but made just five total appearances for them. He played most of that season in the minors instead, batting .280 with five homers and 35 RBIs in 70 games for Triple-A Albuquerque.
Additionally, Tucker is well known for his relationship with actress Vanessa Hudgens. The two began dating in 2020 and were engaged in 2023 before getting married last December (see some of the photos of them together here).
While often overshadowed by the “High School Musical” actress Hudgens, Tucker will now be getting a new chance to make a name for himself with Seattle.
