Eagles sign Noah Togiai to Reserve/Future contract

The Eagles have signed tight end Noah Togiai to a Reserve/Future contract.

Reserve/Future contracts are given to players who are not on a 53-man roster, preventing them from negotiating and signing with another team. The Eagles signed 20 players to Reserve/Future contracts last week.

The 26-year-old signed with the practice squad on November 14 after being waived by the Las Vegas Raiders. Togiai also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals during preseason.

The Oregon State alumnus has spent parts of the last three seasons with the Eagles after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2020. Togiai has played in eight career games.

Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Clint Hurtt found himself jobless after head coach Pete Carroll was forced out earlier this month.

Report: Eagles to hire Clint Hurtt as defensive line coach - NBC Sports

Hurtt, who was the Seahawks defensive coordinator during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, will work under new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, as head coach Nick Siranni continues to make sweeping changes with his coaching staff in Philadelphia. Hurtt, 45, has worked for Fangio before, as the outside linebackers coach for the Chicago Bears in 2015 and 2016 while Fangio was the defensive coordinator.

Hurtt is also expected to bring senior defensive assistant and defensive passing game coordinator Karl Scott with him to Philadelphia, where he will be the coach of the defensive backs. Scott spent the past two seasons as Seattle’s secondary coach and passing game coordinator.
