Leicester City could be forced to sell Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall if a bid worth £30million comes in for him this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed Brighton and Brentford could make a move to sign Dewsbury-Hall after they were interested in him in the January transfer window.

Football Insider revealed in April Brighton are planning to make a bid for the 25-year-old after his impressive form for Leicester last season.

The English midfielder was instrumental in helping his side secure an immediate return to the Premier League after winning the Championship title.

But O’Rourke suggested Leicester could be forced to cash in on him this summer after announcing a loss of £90million in their latest accounts.

Dewsbury-Hall is under contract at the King Power Stadium until 2027.

The Nottingham-born midfielder has spent the past 18 years at Leicester after joining their academy in 2006 before progressing into the first team.

Since making his debut in January 2020, Dewsbury-Hall has scored 17 goals and laid on 20 assists in 129 appearances.

The Englishman recorded by far his best campaign last season after registering 12 goals and 14 assists as he started 43 games in Leicester’s title success.

O’Rourke suggested Dewsbury-Hall is the club’s most sellable asset and there will be a lot of clubs racing to sign him if he’s made available for a transfer.

That is a distinct possibility after Football Insider revealed on 12 June Leicester could lose multiple stars this summer as they look to balance the books.

The Premier League side are already facing a points deduction next season after they were charged in March for breaching the league’s profit and sustainability rules (PSR).
